A couple years ago I read a book about a guy that hired a Navy Seal to live with him and he would do EVERYTHING the Seal did. One quote from that book I thought was good was simply “embrace the suck.” In it’s purest form, it makes complete sense. Life isn’t all peaches and cream. There are times that it sucks. And the best way to get through it is to just embrace it.
David Goggins is the Seal in that book. He’s called “The toughest man alive” and if you hear his story, you’ll understand! Fair warning, the language he uses is pretty graphic. He went through Hell Week 3 times, twice with broken legs. He does competitions where he runs for 24 hours and more at a time. But his life wasn’t always that way. It wasn’t until he learned to “embrace the suck” that his life changed.
