I don’t know about you guys, but for me, music is a big thing. I don’t mean playing it. I mean listening to it and listening to the message the artist is trying to say. I had a playlist of songs that I would listen to every morning when I woke up in the hospital or when things got tough during treatment, or I felt alone, and even still now when I go to my scans and appointment to find out how they go. Music really did help me get through.
I think it’s safe to say that most, if not all, of us, can attest to certain songs helping us when we’re down. We have that song or that playlist that we go to. Here are some of those songs for me:
“You Say” by Lauren Daigle
“Stars” by Skillet Music
“Strong Enough” by Matthew West
“Confidence” by Sanctus Real
“Different” by Micah Tyler
and “So Far Away” by RED
I love finding new songs as well, so please share songs that are in your go-to playlist when you need a pick me up or your feeling down!
